Artists such as Derain, Van Gogh, Vlaminck, Bonnard unleashed color and pattern in unprecedented ways.  Their work is loose, gestural and inspires us all.  This class not only gives us a chance to investigate some of the most colorful and exciting paintings ever created, it gives us a chance to hold onto their brush and try our hand at painting their styles.  Practicing their ideas and investigating their techniques may well unleash some surprising spontaneity as you approach your own future paintings!  

Class includes observing famous artists' work, discussion and demo of techniques,  fast paced exercises.  Homework and critiques are offered and encouraged.
